IUI-D is performed in couples where the\nwoman has patent fallopian tubes, but the man&#039;s semen is unsuitable and cannot be used for\ntreatment procedures. In such circumstances, accepting or treating anonymously donated sperm is\none option. IUI-D has the advantage that half of the child&#039;s genetic makeup comes from the mother.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The donor is anonymous and provides non-identifying information such as:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Blood type.<\/li>\n<li>Physical characteristics like height, weight, eye color, hair color, etc.<\/li>\n<li>Interests.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>This information allows the couple, with our guidance, to select a suitable donor. The goal is for the\nchild to resemble both parents.<\/p>\n<p>IUI-D involves tracking the progress of the menstrual cycle using ultrasound and blood tests. For\nthose women who do not have a regular menstrual cycle, ovulation induction can be used to\nstimulate follicle maturation. The IUI-D procedure is performed on the day of ovulation.<\/p>\n<p>Once confirmed ovulation has occurred, sperm from the donor is retrieved from storage in the liquid\nnitrogen vessel (-196\u00b0C). This sperm sample is then processed in a laboratory by an embryologist. The\ngoal of the preparation process is to collect a large number of motile, normal-appearing\nspermatozoa.
