CULTURE TO BLASTOCYST

Култивиране до стадий бластоцист

In natural pregnancy, the embryo reaches the uterus 5-6 days after fertilization. Nowadays, it is routine for embryos to be transferred into the uterus 3 days after fertilization.

Recent discoveries in laboratory practice and the development of nutrient media have made it possible to grow the embryo for up to 5 days in the laboratory. This is called development to a blastocyst.

By growing the embryos to the blastocyst stage, we are able to select the best of the developing embryos and also transfer fewer embryos into the uterus, reducing the chance of multiple pregnancies.

However, not all patients are suitable for this procedure.

During the consultation, you will be informed if this procedure is suitable for you.
